Herbalism… Cool!
A follow up from my previous adventure, which is farming for herbs, I actually did not go to Hinterlands for Sungrass because that area seems not as appealing without much high level herbs like Plaguebloom, Dreamfoil, Golden Sansam, Mountain Silversage or Icecap. Instead of flying to Aerie’s Peak in Hinterlands, I took the flight path to Menethil Harbour in Wetlands.
Here, I waited for a boat which is due for west which is heading to the western lands of Kalimdor and will arrive in Darkshore. Upon arrival, there was a Flight Master nearby and selected my destination to Azshara. In Azshara, according to the Warcraft Lore, was the place where the Highborne dwelled practicing their magical activities and also the area where War of the Ancients and The Sundering of the World took place.
Upon arrival, the whole area has patrolling Mountain Giants and Hippogryphs near the southern area of Azshara, while in the middle area seems to be filled with Naga like creatures, which is the result of a mutation of the once proud Highbornes prior to The Sundering of the World. The Nagas are normally concentrated around areas with ruins. Some of the ruins were deserted and packs of Undeads like Spirits of the Highborne where spotted lingering around the area as if the haunt the area or unwillingness of leaving their once proud home. The northern area of Azshara has several encampments of Satyrs and Furblogs were established.
You may be wondering why Azshara? It is because in this area, it does not only have Sungrass, it also has Dreamfoil, Khadgar’s Whisker, Golden Sansam and Purple Lotus. With my main objective to collect Sungrass, I am also collecting Dreamfoil, which is supposedly said to be growing very well in Azshara. Without much delay, I started riding on my EM and went on collecting herbs and enjoying the sights. I spent approximately 3 hours in total and I have collected a whooping 3 stacks of Dreamfoil, 2 stacks of Sungrass and a couple of stacks of herbs like Golden Sansam, Khadgar’s Whisker and Purple Lotus.
I would say with 3 hours, having such a good amount of herbs isn’t too shabby seeing the fact that 1 stack of Dreamfoil is going at about 18g in the Auction House in my server and would easily fetch approximately 15g, if you need any fast cash. Not only I find enough herbs to make potions for my own usage, I can also start farming enough herbs to sell and earn some side cash. Looks like I would have to visit Azshara more often. :D
