Pushed Too Far (Part 1)

The wind was blowing into the Dreadpaladin's helm, the surrounding air weaved its cold prickling Storm Peak winds around her armour crystallizing any grime, sweat and crimson blood that happen to be spilt on her plated chest and leggings. She had not have the chance to clean and oil her armour from the past battles these few days. Strapped on the left side of her girdle was her one-handed mace; Crimson Cranium Crusher and with a Riot Shield fastened tightly on her back, ready to be drawn and armed at any point of time if she were to engage in melee combat. Dreadpaladin's moved her left hand and rested on the hilt of her mace, tightening her grip as to brace herself.

The sound of wings flapping can be heard as the Stormcrest eagle that she is riding climbs altitude, gliding whenever possible to reserve strength for the battle ahead. Behind Dreadpaladin is a steep mountain, capped with soft white snow. The other side of the mountain, as she recalled, staircase like steps of flat lands can be seen forming up until it reached the peak. On ledges that are broad and wide enough, Stormcrest eagles would made nest and nurture their hatchlings. Pine trees; holding the weight of 2 to 3 inches of snow on their leaves, stood tall along the ridges, providing a security she thought even nature can survive among the craggy mountains and bitter cold of Storm Peak, so can she; being a righteous paladin, bringer of the Light and Justice. The eagle has stopped gaining altitude and continued the flight towards a set of snowy mountains. Below them is Bor's Breath, a crystallized river like valley, which is also the nesting area for a brood of harpies called Frostfeather.

Riding towards northeast for almost an hour, they crossed Bor's Breath and mountains; the Foot Steppes to the east can be seen. Below them are snow covered ground and flat lands can be seen towards the north with a huge hole in the middle, she remembered it to be called Engine of the Makers, which was kept watch by Creteus; The Lonesome Watcher. Pines trees which she had seen previously can be seen growing near the foothills of Foot Steppes. Looming in the east, blue coloured creatures can be seen bobbing up and down, as if flying and landing upon the flat lands and the mountainous Foot Steppes. There is where their stand begins, to slaughter the sapphire coloured drakes known as Stormpeak Wyrms. The eagle dipped slightly towards the east and head towards their battlefield.

From her inventory, she took out a mystical hammer; Storm Hammer which was provided by Fjorlin Frostbrow, allowing you to engage the wyrms. The Storm Hammer she is holding was presented to Fjorlin by King Stormheart, hoping that it would see him through many more battles. A Storm Hammer forged and imbued with magic allows the wielder to throw at a target, dealing massive damage. The hammer will then return to the wielders hand after it strikes. Knowing this, Dreadpaladin grinned as she now has a weapon that would assist in her fight with the drakes without worrying about losing her weapon. She unfastened her shield and latched it to her left arm, while maintaining her balance on the eagle she secured it with the shield's leather strap. Once done, she lifted Storm Hammer from her knapsack, held and gripped it firmly in her right hand.

With the first Stormpeak Wyrm in sight, Dreadpaladin gripped Storm Hammer even tighter. The beast can be seen attacking an Ice Steppe Rhino in an attempt to feed. Hovering over the defenseless Rhino which was running away, the wyrm arched back its neck slightly and lunged forward, breathing a cone of frost breath, rendering the rhino immobile. The drake flapped its wings several times, flying above his prey before landing near the rhino. The Stormcrest eagle knew what to do. Flapping furiously to gain higher altitude within a short distance, the eagle and Dreadpaladin rose up. After a few seconds, the eagle reduced the span of it wings, folded both of them to a close and dove towards the wyrm attacking the sapphire beast from above.

Diving towards the wyrm with the great speed, Dreadpaladin held Storm Hammer above her head with her shield in front of her. Her eyes squinted as she felt the piercing air rushed into her eyes. Trained in combat, the eagle unfolded its wings, stretching it to the full span trying to reduce its diving speed as they got nearer. Its claws were stretched out towards the wyrm, ready to strike. When the wyrm was near enough, Dreadpaladin threw Storm Hammer towards the wyrm while the Stormcrest Eagle gave a screeching battle cry. The drake roared in pain and shock, immediately looked up to face its adversary and find out the source of attack, only to find the claws of the eagle furiously attacking its head attempting to gouge the its eyes out. They had the FIRST STRIKE!

Redemption!

Ok! Lets face it, I havent been blogging about my life in WoW for almost 2 years. Sad but true. Not that I stopped playing WoW, just that I did not discipline myself to blog about the things I experience in WoW. Honestly, many things has unfolded into my life revealing the many responsibilities; real life interventions, that one has to partake in our lifetime which caused the extreme delay in reviving this blog again.

Nevertheless, I am in no circumstances to say that I will be able to keep this blogging up to standard, but I am able to feel myself beginning to pour action into words as I start my new epic adventure in WoW - with the new expansion; Wrath of the Lich King.

I last left off with Dreadpaladin riding Charger riding into the Outlands with the previous expansion of WoW: The Burning Crusade. Many events unfold, adventures into Karazhan, Gruul's Lair, Magtheridon's Lair, Serpentshrine Caverns, The Eye, Mount Hyjal, Black Temple, Zul'Aman and ultimately, Sunwell Plateau. I probably did not have the chance to experience every end game content and complete it, but at least I followed the story through until the heroes of Azeroth landed in Northrend; bringing justice to the onslaught of the Lich King.

Fast forwarding to the present, Dreadpaladin battles the forces of powerful beings in the bitter cold of Northrend. Steaming up with energy to reach the level cap of 80, she now resting in an inn to store double experience while she awaits my control over her. Tonight! Together we shall bath in blood and sweat towards the journey to reach level 80, upon reaching: may the real adventure begins...
